Our Campus

Introduction

The College campus is mini version of what you are likely to experience if you go to university.

We have several buildings each dedicated to a particular group of subjects. There is also a drop in IT centre with over 90 computers, library and superb catering facilities, including a cyber café. All the student services are available in a single place in the main building. All the buildings have disabled access.

What are the catering facilities?

JLC has both a cafeteria and a modern cyber café serving a variety of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.

The Cafeteria

The Cafeteria offers you everything from a traditional English breakfast to a self-service salad bar, sandwich bar, hot specials of the day, jacket potatoes, and pasta and snack items.

The Cafeteria is open daily from 8am until 2.30 pm.

The Cyber Cafe

The Cyber café is situated in the Margaret Mason Centre (affectionately known as the Maggie May). Here students can study or socialise over a light bite.

Hot and cold snacks are available from 8am to 3pm.

Healthy Eating

The college is currently developing many healthy meal options and is working towards the Healthy College Award. There is an emphasis on fresh fruit and vegetables, and cooked food is grilled or baked in preference to frying. The special meals of the day are displayed on the college plasma screens.

College Shop

The college shop situated in the Margaret Mason Centre sell a large range of stationary and art  products at competitive prices.

Vending machines and water fountains.

There are many vending machines around the college campus, selling a variety of drinks, bottled water and snacks. There are water fountains in several buildings.
