Matthew helped a team of John Leggott College young economists bank a place in the regional final of a national competition. Alongside three of his class mates he argued for the Bank of England to maintain interest rates and begin quantitative easing to meet Government inflation targets. The competition and his studies in maths, further maths, economics, law, general studies and extended project are all helping him to prepare for his chosen career path. “My future plans are to go to uni to study economics, do a masters and then become and economic/investment consultant,” he said. “The College is helping me as it has fantastic teaching and research facilities.”
