Former Students (Alumni) - Benefits and Services
References
The College will do its best to provide former students with references for employment or higher education/training applications. You do not need to ask the College in advance. You may quote the name of the Principal as your referee. The employer or other person seeking the reference can then write or fax the College. The College is not normally able to give oral references over the telephone.
The College is happy to tell you the contents of any reference provided for you but we are not able to give you text copies.
Careers Advice
Sometimes students who have left College still feel the need to talk to tutors who they know about their future career path. College tutors, within the time they have available, are always pleased to see former students and to enter into serious discussions where this is appropriate.
If you wish to arrange a particular discussion about your future career you may wish to telephone or email in advance to book a time with the tutor concerned or with the College Careers staff.
Bill Martin Trust Fund
It may sometimes be possible that a small amount of financial support can be made available. The Bill Martin Trust Fund is a charity set up to help current and former full-time John Leggott College students.
Getting in touch with old friends
Lost touch with some good friends you made while at JLC? We can help you to get in touch if they are also a member of the Alumni Association.
