Important announcement – visa applications in Guangdong
We are aware that, because of certain irregularities in student visa applications in South China, the UK consulate in the Guangdong region is not accepting Tier 4 visa applications from students who are applying for ‘A’ level courses in government-funded colleges. This is not connected in any way with anything which John Leggott College has done, but affects all UK government-funded colleges. Private schools and colleges are not affected.
We anticipate the restrictions will be lifted at some time in the future but we have no further details. When more information is released, we will publicise it via our website.
In the meantime we regret we are unable to consider applications from students in the Guangdong region of China.
John Leggott College has been awarded Highly Trusted Sponsor status by the UK Border Agency.

The perfect choice for International Students
John Leggott College is an award winning Sixth Form College situated in the English county of North Lincolnshire. We specialise in preparing students, aged between 16 and 20, for the Advanced Level qualifications needed for entry to universities.
The College serves Scunthorpe and its surrounding area but over the last 15 years we have seen an increasing number of International Students. Students have attended from China, Russia, Brunei, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Nigeria, The Gambia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Somalia, Sweden, Germany, Colombia, Yemen, Turkey and Greece.
As a result we have developed an experienced team dedicated to supporting International students when they study with us. In addition, all international students have English language tuition in preparation for the IELTS test during their course.
Teaching staff are committed to helping students achieve their potential and almost all international students go on to British universities each year, including Oxford and Cambridge. The College also has links with many other top universities in the UK.
