Student Life - Student Union

So now you're a 'student' instead of a 'pupil'! Nice one... but is there really any difference between school and college?

The truth is that your life will change in quite a big way now you are at John Leggott. We, the members of the Student Union Executive, were in the same position as you only a year ago, and many of us found College life to be very different from school.

The big difference you will notice at first is the amount of 'free' time you have. However, this honeymoon period doesn't last, and you will soon find yourself using every spare moment, trying to meet those elusive deadlines.

If you've got any energy left after all this hard work then there are still plenty of things to keep you busy. Your time at John Leggott will fly by and it won't be long until you have to make some big decisions about your future!

If that still isn't enough to keep you occupied, why not apply to join the Student Union Executive for 2011? The Council is here to arrange social and charity events (watch out for the Freshers Party, coming soon!), and to represent the student body. If you are interested in becoming a member, simply want to make a suggestion, or have any queries about anything involving the Council, drop into the office any time. The Council is here for your benefit, and we can't work without your input. With this much to do, as well as the important task of getting to know the other two thousand people in College, you may find your two years here are all too brief, so make the best of it!

All the best,
The Student Union Executive
