A letter will be sent to all current student parents/carers this week.
Please see the following letter below:
Vulnerable and Key Worker Associated Learners
As you are aware, the college is closed except for vulnerable children and children of key front line workers. The college is committed to supporting our learners and parents who fit into this category. On Tuesday 24th March we had no learners present, however.
Should you wish to use this facility, we would very much appreciate it if you would kindly contact us by Tuesday 31st March at the following email email@example.com so that we can plan for this provision. Learners should only come in if it is essential and not safe for them to remain at home.
Exam Results for GCSE, BTEC and A level Exams
We understand that for many of our Year 11 and Year 13 students, the news that GCSE and A-level exams will not take place will have caused anxiety. Early indications are that grades will be based on teacher judgements of the grade students would have received had they sat the final exams. These are then moderated by the exam boards. The results will be released in July with a resit opportunity.
Yr 1 Virtual Learning
Work is being set and all learners should be in contact with their teachers regularly, including on every day where they would normally have a lesson. If you know they are experiencing difficulties please contact their Academic Advocate who will support, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We recognise that we are in unprecedented times that have caused increased worry, stress and anxiety. Many of you will have questions and I regularly email all students to clarify key questions or developments. If you have any specific questions supplementary to this, please email me on email@example.com
Finally, I would like you to remember that the staff of JLC will strive to support you as much as we can in these most difficult of times
My thoughts are with you and your family and please stay safe.
