We hope all students have settled in well during their first two weeks of transitioning to the New Normal at John Leggott College.
We would like to provide you with an update with regards to how we are moving forward as a college with the ever changing guidelines to coronavirus. These changes will be effective from Monday 14th September for a full college reopening.
Students will now be on site full time for all lessons.
All lessons will still be broadcast live. This is to cover some students who are ill or cannot attend college. (i.e. those students shielding in lockdown or awaiting Covid-19 test results)
We have created designated zones. These communal areas will be open between the hours of 09:00 – 16:00 and will be staffed throughout the day to ensure social distancing measures are met.
The Eating & Drinking Zones are as follows:
West Common Sports Hall;
Green and Grey Room.
(Our catering facilities are open on a review basis under limited working hours. Students are also able to bring packed lunches and eat those in these areas.)
The Study Zones:
The Small Open Access Area in the Portal. (Use the Business Studies entrance)
Students must adhere to the latest JLC guidelines below:
- Face Covering (in corridors, on buses and communal areas)
- Keep Left (in corridors & outside classrooms)
- Social Distance
- Wash your hands
- Hand sanitise frequently.
We are now enforcing face coverings at all times in corridors and communal spaces and transport. * If you are exempt from wearing a face mask, please email the wellbeing team on email@example.com as you will have an option to wear a badge to indicate this.
All students should go straight to their lessons where possible.
If students do not have an afternoon lesson, you do not need to stay on site.
