John Leggott College Hosts Year 10 Taster Days
John Leggott College recently opened its doors to almost 1000 students from local schools during two successful Taster Days.
Year 10 students from a total of 9 different schools visited the campus to try out the huge range of subjects available at the College. These taster sessions ranged from developing a new society following a zombie apocalypse in Sociology, to designing coats and dresses in Fashion & Textiles.
Feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive with school students relishing the opportunity to experience their future options and explore the College campus.
“I had a great day, it was really intriguing finding out about the brain in the Psychology lesson.”
Other sessions that proved extremely popular included Biology, where students experimented with exploding organs, and Games Development which saw students getting to grips with the latest virtual reality technology.
Members of staff from local schools, including Lisa Perry from Huntcliff School, also joined in with the chance to check out what JLC has to offer.
“The students had a great day at the College and we certainly did too!”
The College regularly welcomes members of the local community on to campus to see what is on offer, so keep an eye on the events page to see when you can visit JLC.
