How will I be assessed?
An apprenticeship allows you to collect evidence to prove that you have the underpinning knowledge and understanding of the occupational area, in addition to the practical skills you need to do your job. You are given an assessor who will support you on the road to your success and help you understand what you have to do. You are mainly assessed within the workplace, though ‘off the job’ training is also required.
Assessment can be through a variety of methods including;
- Questions & answers
- Professional discussion
- Scenario etc.
All the evidence you produce is put into a portfolio and assessed as you go along.
Confirmation of everything you do will be made initially by your assessor, secondly by your internal versifier and finally by the awarding body quality assurance team.
Who is this course aimed at?
Apprenticeships are aimed at students who would like the opportunity to learn whilst they are ‘on the job’ as well as practise what they are learning!
You are one of the best assets an employer could have, and they will be able to offer you, through their own staff, a varied and expert experience of what the company needs.
You can also ‘earn’ whilst you are learning! You will be paid a ‘weekly wage’ and your training is free. All our assessors are occupationally competent and very experienced too.
Apprenticeships are work-based learning programmes that have been developed with employers to equip learners with the skills that businesses look for. They are available at levels 2-5 and involve both on-and off-the job-training, resulting in a set of nationally recognised qualifications to prepare you for a choice of careers in more than 35 sectors.
At the moment we are offering apprenticeships in Business Administration and Customer Services (level 2 and 3), Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools level 2 and 3, and Health & Social Care (level 2 & 3).
