What will I learn?
Core Units in Year One
Unit 1 Exploring Business
Designed to enable learners to understand the variety and different types of business.
Unit 2 Business Resources
Designed to develop learner knowledge of the range of human, physical, technological and financial resources required in an organisation.
Unit 3 Developing a Marketing Campaign
This unit introduces the main principles of marketing. It looks at the various techniques that businesses use to sell their goods and services.
Maths and English at Grade 4 or above and a GCSE points average of 3.2 or above.
How long will it take to qualify?
How will I be assessed?
Unit 1 will be assessed by the completion of appropriate coursework, and Unit 2 is externally assessed. Students will need to work to set deadlines in order to be successful.

Who is this course aimed at?
The BTEC Certificate in Business will be attractive to students who:
- have an interest in a business related career
- want to find out more about how modern businesses work
- want to take a course where they are assessed entirely by coursework
You can move directly into employment or move into Higher Education to pursue a career in business areas including finance, management and marketing.
