Kimberley Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) is proud to be working in partnership with JLC to deliver the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma specialising in Dance.
This course is equivalent to three A Levels.
KPAC has over 35 years’ teaching experience with many pupils going into the profession. The course will be based at Kimberley Performing Arts Centre, Enderby Road Scunthorpe and will include intensive training and workshops, developing your technique and performance skills. The course will broaden knowledge of dance, performing arts and the core techniques and skills required as a young performer.

What will you learn?
Development of confidence, creative choreography and collaboration skills are main focuses on this course and will be incorporated in to lessons throughout the course along with anatomy and lifestyle as a healthy dancer. It is paramount to learn techniques of a well-rounded dance and performer and use these skills during professionally-led performance workshops, practical sessions and showcases. The assessments of this course will be a combination of live and recorded performances. There will be external and internal assignments covering various genres of dance. Assessments are continual with feedback given on all assignments.
