Ruslan Mamedov – Russia

Ruslan came to the UK to study Mathematics and Business Studies at John Leggott College. Ruslan has settled into college life really well and feels this is down to the “positive and friendly” attitude of his teachers.

Duncan Dai – China

Duncan chose to study at John Leggott College because of the success of his friends who had already chosen to study here.

“A family friend studied here and was successful in enrolling at Cambridge University, and another friend went on to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, so I thought that college must be brilliant!”

He is currently studying towards A Levels in Further Mathematics, Economics, Chemistry and Geography. After completing his time at college, Duncan is hoping to study Geography at a Russell Group university and has received offers from several.

Aivis Provejs – Latvia

During his time at JLC, Aivis studied A Levels in Art, Product Design, Maths and Physics. His success in these subjects enabled him to progress to studying Architecture at the University of Greenwich. Following completion of his degree course, Aivis has secured employment with James Kay Architects. He attributes a lot of his success to the time he spent studying at John Leggott College, “my time at JLC was the most pleasant and heart-warming, giving me a solid foundation and confidence that I cherish dearly.”

Chen Xian Zhang – China

Chen Xian is currently studying towards A Levels in Art, Economics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. She feels really well supported at JLC, stating that “the college’s support teams are really great, it’s a friendly place where they push you to do well.”

When she finishes her studies at John Leggott College Chen Xian is hoping to study Fashion Management at University.

Estrella Hidalgo – Spain

Both Estrella and her brother have studied at JLC. She is currently working towards A Levels in Art, Fashion & Textiles and French, with the hope of progressing to University to study Art & Design. Estrella is really enjoying her time studying at JLC, especially the freedom of expression given to Creative Arts students, “I like the quality of the classes and feel that I have evolved artistically since I have been here”.

Kristine Kokina – Latvia

Kristine chose to study Mathematics, Business Studies and Photography when she arrived at John Leggott College. She has received several offers to study Advertising related degree courses at University when she leaves JLC. “I chose to study Maths, Business and Photography, which is my passion. I love everything about JLC because it is significantly different from Latvian schools, and there is such a variety of facilities.”
