JLC Student Prepares for National Championships
John Leggott College student and talented swimmer Natasha Crow is looking forward to racing at the British Summer Championships 2016.
Natasha has already represented John Leggott College and qualified to represent the college at the AoC National Championships. Natasha has competed in numerous national level swimming events and even raced in a preliminary Olympic qualifier. To reach this high level Natasha completes a gruelling 14 training sessions per week. These sessions cover pool based training and weights session on dry land.
Over the past 6 years of training and racing Natasha has learnt to balance her numerous commitments. Natasha commented that “it took some time, but I’ve got used to balancing training and my studies”.
At college Natasha studies Use of Maths, Physical Education and Applied Science A-Levels and is hoping to progress on to university, where she is looking to train as a Physiotherapist. Now that her summer exams have ended Natasha is focussed on the final few weeks of training ahead of the British Summer Championships 2016 which take place at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
“I’m glad I’ve finished my exams for the year, I think they went well, especially my PE exams.”
The championships run from 26th to 31st July and everyone at the college is wishing Natasha the best of luck.
