We at John Leggott College have our own dedicated Sports Academy where we offer a wide range of Sport Opportunities for students to get involved in to compete or just for fun!
We are also nationally recognised for our support of high level athletes as part of a Dual Career Pathway which means we are TASS accredited to support students follow their sporting success alongside their studies and we adapt to suit this programme with them.

We have a Football Academy in association with 780 coaching - The Pathway to Professional. 780 are very proud to be associated with Sheffield Wednesday FC Academy and aim to increase the opportunity for players to enter the SWFC Academy. To date, over 40 players have been signed to professional clubs from 780 coaching.
The Football Academy student athletes will receive:
Up to 10 hours practical football;
GPRS tracking for player portfolio;
Individually tailored strength and conditioning programme.
Our JLC Wolves Basketball Academy was formed in 2017.
Our student athletes have basketball timetabled specifically around their studies and experience basketball-specific strength and conditioning and video analysis sessions, in addition to their on-court basketball work.
We are proud that we are able to offer basketball to all. No previous experience is required as we have teams and training sessions are suitable for all abilities. We would encourage anyone interested in learning more to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
