Careers & Progression Advisor

About the role

We have an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Learner Pathway Team. This team supports the wider development and progression of our learners, with this role focusing on Careers and Progression advice.

In this role, you will be responsible for direct careers and progression support – from pre-entry to on-programme advice, supporting career planning, offering both UCAS and non-UCAS support, and developing students' understanding of the world of work, apprenticeship programmes, and progression to Further or Higher Education.

You will be working closely with the Pastoral Tutor team and supported by the other members of the Learner Pathways Team, to maintain a constant picture of all career and progression aims, ensuring that learner experiences support progression goals.

You will support, and when appropriate, take the lead on designing elements of the delivery programme, engaging our learners in aspiration activities that enable them to recognise their options beyond the JLC experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced Careers Advisor at Level 6.

  • Be professional, friendly, and a good role model for students.

  • Have strong administrative skills, especially around data management.
