Project SEARCH Job Coach
About this role
Make a Real Impact – Help Young Adults Unlock Their Potential
Are you driven by the idea of transforming lives and making a real difference every day? As a Project SEARCH Job Coach, you’ll be at the heart of an inspiring, life-changing journey – guiding young adults with learning disabilities as they gain the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive in the workplace.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Based at the vibrant Scunthorpe Central Library (with some work at college premises as needed), you’ll support young adults through every stage of their transition to work. From identifying their unique strengths and interests to guiding them through real-world job placements, you’ll be their cheerleader, mentor, and advocate.
You’ll coach interns to overcome challenges, build workplace confidence, and develop critical employability skills. You’ll work closely with employers, families, and support services to create meaningful, lasting employment opportunities – making each intern’s success your personal mission.
Your days will be varied and rewarding – from providing one-on-one support and delivering practical skills training, to celebrating those breakthrough moments when an intern lands their first job. You’ll be part of a passionate team, committed to changing lives and building brighter futures.
