JLC vs Sixth Form
John Leggott College is a sixth form college, giving students a completely different learning experience to a school sixth form. Students at JLC are given a lot more freedom to make their own decisions, manage their own time and develop into confident and independent adults. This independence prepares students for University, Apprenticeships and the workplace, and the requirement to independently managing their own workload in the future.
Additionally JLC is able to offer a greater selection of courses than most school sixth forms, giving more diversity to a student’s programme of study.
We have a reputation as one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in the whole of the UK. In 2016, one out of every two students achieved a high grade. We enjoyed a 99% A Level pass rate, 218.2 average point score per A Level, 75% BTEC high grades and a 100% pass rate across 63 of our courses.
