Celebrating World Book Day 2023

World Book Day is an annual celebration of books, reading, and the power of stories. It's a day when people all over the world come together to celebrate the joy of reading, share their love of books, and promote literacy and education.

On 2nd March 2023, John Leggott College staff and students came together to participate in World Book Day celebrations by dressing as their favourite character from a book. From Wally to Mary Poppins, we saw a whole host of characters paraded through the college corridors.

As part of the day, Progress Tutor Amber organised a number of activities for our students to get involved in, including a costume competition. We'd like to thank everyone for their fantastic effort and encourage you to think about the ways that you can join in next year.

There are many ways you can participate in World Book Day, the simplest and most effective way being to read a book! Choose a book that inspires you, challenges you or even a book that entertains you. Spend some time reading and enjoying it, either alone or with family/friends.
