Sport Opportunities
Sport at John Leggott College
JLC is a unique provision with over 50 years experience supporting students to achieve their hopes, dreams and aspirations.
We offer a number of sporting programmes, including Football, Basketball, Rugby, Netball, Volleyball, Badminton and Futsal. Each year, additional programmes may run to meet the demand of our students. If there is a sport programme that you would like to take part in but we don't currently have available, please speak to us!

JLC Wolves
Our JLC Wolves Basketball Academy was formed in 2017. Our student athletes have basketball timetabled specifically around their studies and experience basketball-specific strength and conditioning and video analysis sessions, in addition to their on-court basketball work.
We are proud that we are able to offer basketball to all. No previous experience is required as we have teams and training sessions are suitable for all abilities. We would encourage anyone interested in learning more to email basketball@leggott.ac.uk.

United in
Partnership
John Leggott College have teamed up with Scunthorpe United Football Club and 780 Coaching to bring you United In Partnership, an elite football pathways for talented young athletes who have a high level of sporting ability in football. The pathway allows students to gain additional football training alongside their studies without impacting their academic programme.
Students will have the opportunity to try out for the programme as part of the application process. Successful applicants will receive additional coaching sessions, opportunities to train with the SUFC first team plus much more!
