JLC are looking to appoint a candidate who has knowledge and experience of Media, Games Design and/or Information Technology. This could be from an industry background or as a recent graduate looking to start their journey into education. The department covers a range of A Level and Vocational courses Media, Film, Game Design, Information Technology and Esports. We are proud of the performance of John Leggott College, its students and staff, and the candidate will share the college’s cultural values and vision, having the right blend of skills, talent and experience.
In the department we are able to provide fantastic facilities to support your journey. We have three purpose-built studios for Esports, Games Development and Games Design. Our games studio contains dual monitor PCs, testing facilities for VR, console and mobile development, and much more!
In return, we pride ourselves on offering more than just a place to work. At JLC, we promote a wider college community where departments, staff, and students come together to create a dynamic and supportive environment for all. By joining our team, you will have an opportunity to experience a collaborative and inclusive work culture, to partake in diverse and engaging activities and events and to be able to utilise state-of-the-art resources and facilities. On top of this you will also get the opportunity to work with dedicated educators, as well as the possibility for professional growth and development.
The College has excellent in-house training programs for Early Career Teachers and aspiring leaders, ongoing CPD opportunities in-house, part of ACT and externally, and we would support individuals who would be taking their first steps into teaching. The college offers a wide variety of benefits for staff, including free parking, on site catering facilities, TPS pensions and access to a wide variety of locally agreed discounts.
If you would like to arrange a visit or have any questions, please contact the HR team by email humanresources@leggott.ac.uk who will be happy to help. We will only shortlist candidates who have completed an application form and submitted the application to humanresources@leggott.ac.uk
