Admin Assistant - Post 16
About this role
We are looking for a friendly and organised Admin Assistant to be the first point of contact for students across our JLC sites. You will provide a welcoming reception service, handle enquiries, and support students throughout their learner journey.
This is a new role at JLC and you will manage day-to-day administration, support the Head of Centre, assist with student payments and bursary applications, and help coordinate key events like Induction and Parents Evenings. Your excellent customer service skills will help guide students to the support they need and keep communication clear across the college. If you enjoy working in a busy, supportive environment and want to make a real difference to students’ experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Join Us?
At JLC, we offer more than just a place to work — we’re building a vibrant, innovative college community where staff and students grow together. You’ll be part of a collaborative and inclusive environment that celebrates creativity, development, and the power of education. With access to state-of-the-art facilities, ongoing professional learning, and a calendar of engaging events, you’ll have everything you need to thrive.
This role may occasionally require you to work across more than one site in a single day. Where this happens, travel between sites will be fully paid — ensuring your time and commitment are recognised and supported. With term-time working, free onsite parking, catering facilities, and access to a wide range of staff discounts, we’re committed to making JLC a great place to work.
If you share our commitment to preparing students for life beyond college and want to play a pivotal role in shaping their futures, we’d love to hear from you.
