Who is this course aimed at?
Foundation Learning is a bespoke pathway for learners. The course is specifically designed to help enhance learners confidence, resilience and independence. This course is aimed at learners with or without an EHCP, who aspire to enhance their life skills in preparation for adulthood.
Learners will have the opportunity to: come in and have a look around the campus, apply for a place on the course and attend an interview to ensure the programme can be correctly tailored to their individual need
What will you learn?
A personalised course allowing learners to have access to a balanced and enriched curriculum which is specifically designed to encourage the development of self- confidence and personal growth. This course is designed to serve as a stepping stone, providing wrap around support for students to further enhance their independent living skills.
Whilst on the course, students will have the opportunity to enhance their Functional English and Functional Maths skills and Functional IT skills. Learners will build upon their qualifications, to add to a CV and develop their self-confidence through travel and independence training, work experience and volunteering. Alongside this, students will have the opportunity to actively participate in trips and visits.
