This course is ideal for students who have a passion for musical theatre and enjoy developing their skills in singing, acting and dance within a professional and creative environment. Taught by industry professionals from the Kimberley Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), the course provides learners with valuable insight into the expectations and opportunities within the performing arts industry.
Students will explore the creative and technical demands of musical theatre performance while developing confidence, resilience and professional performance skills. Through practical workshops, rehearsals and live performance opportunities, learners will develop their ability to communicate with audiences, respond to direction and work effectively as part of an ensemble.
The course is particularly suited to students who enjoy creative expression, collaboration and improving their performance through feedback and reflection. The Foundation Diploma (equivalent to 1.5 A Levels) focuses on developing musical theatre performance skills alongside an understanding of the wider performing arts sector. The course combines practical performance experience with industry-focused learning, preparing students for progression into higher education, specialist training or employment within the creative industries.

Students should have achieved GCSE Grade 4 in English. Applicants will also be invited to attend an audition day, with further details discussed during the interview process.
