About this course

This course is ideal for learners who would like to progress onto a media based career. This course has a highly practical focus, students will cover all aspects of the production process. They complete a set of projects designed to develop a broad range of media based skills. Learners will also gain a detailed understanding of research methodology. Learners will explore both traditional and new forms of media. The course is designed to enable learners to either progress onto University and pursue a career in the media.

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at students who:

  • Are interested in any aspect of the Media

  • Are interested in changes in the media, such as new films, magazines etc.

  • Would like an opportunity to create practical media productions of their own

  • Would like to learn how to use media equipment, including photography, video equipment, web design packages and a sound studio

  • Would like the opportunity to be proactive in research in the industry

  • Would like to progress into the Media field in careers such as broadcast, journalism, advertising, public relations or media production
