Enrolment
Enrolling at JLC
Welcome to Enrolment 2024!
We can't wait to welcome you to John Leggott College!
Enrolment happens in person - all applicants will be invited to attend an enrolment appointment to confirm their programme of study. Appointments start on GCSE results day, August 22nd 2024, and will continue into the following week. Due to the high volume of students attending, it's really important that you only attend college at your designated appointment time.
If you're unable to make your appointment, don't worry! We can reschedule this for you. Please let us know as soon as possible by emailing admissions@leggot.ac.uk
The Enrolment Process
Enrolment at JLC couldn't be easier! You will be assigned a dedicated member of staff who will work with you to make sure that your programme of study supports your future hopes, dreams and aspirations. As part of your appointment, we will check your exam results to make sure that we enrol you on the right level of course. If your results did not meet our Level 3 programme (A Level / BTEC / CTEC / T Level) entry requirements, don't panic! Please attend your appointment so we can discuss options available to you to get you on the right path.
Here's what you will need to know:
-
Your results - Please bring your results sheet / letter and results slip(s) as proof of your GCSE qualifications. You can't enrol without this!
-
Your ID - In college, we use your preferred name but for official documents and exams, we need evidence of your legal name at enrolment. Please make sure you bring along ID - this could be your passport, birth certificate, driving licence etc.
-
Your Photo - If you haven't already uploaded your photograph to Cedar, we will need to take this for you at enrolment- don't forget to smile!
-
Additional Support - For students with an EHCP, or those who need additional support, please let us know at your enrolment appointment.
-
Financial Support & Bus Passes - If you haven't already applied, we can provide you steps on how to get financial support / a bus pass. Our student services team will be on hand if you have any questions.
