Enrolment
Enrolling at
John Leggott College?
Enrolment is the final step in the learner journey to become a JLC student.
All applicants will be invited to attend an enrolment appointment to confirm their programme of study. Enrolment happens in person on August 21st & 22nd 2025 and will continue into the following week. Due to the high volume of students attending, it's really important that you only attend college at your designated appointment time. If you're unable to make your appointment, don't worry! We can reschedule this for you. Please let us know as soon as possible by emailing admissions@leggot.ac.uk

The Enrolment Process
Enrolment at JLC couldn't be easier! You will be assigned a dedicated member of staff who will work with you to make sure that your programme of study supports your future hopes, dreams and aspirations.
As part of your appointment, we will check your exam results to make sure that we enrol you on the right level of course. If your results did not meet our Level 3 programme (A Level / BTEC / CTEC / T Level) entry requirements, don't panic! Please attend your appointment so we can discuss options available to you to get you on the right path.
Here's what you will need to know:
-
Your results - Please bring your results sheet / letter and results slip(s) as proof of your GCSE qualifications. You can't enrol without this!
-
Your ID - In college, we use your preferred name but for official documents and exams, we need evidence of your legal name at enrolment. Please make sure you bring along ID - this could be your passport, birth certificate, driving licence etc.
-
Your Photo - If you haven't already uploaded your photograph to Cedar, we will need to take this for you at enrolment.
-
Additional Support - For students with an EHCP, or those who need additional support, please let us know at your enrolment appointment.
-
Financial Support & Bus Passes - If you haven't already applied, we can provide you steps on how to get financial support / a bus pass. Our student services team will be on hand if you have any questions.
Commonly Asked Questions
Congratulations - we can't wait to meet you! Please enter college through the main reception doors. You will then be directed to your 1:1 appointment with one of our fantastic staff members who will help you through the process.
We send out enrolment appointments via letter to your home. Please check that your address information is correct on your Cedar Portal. If you can't find the letter, you can get help by emailing admissions@leggott.ac.uk who will be happy to discuss this further with you.
If you don't meet the entry requirements for a Level 3 programme, don't worry!
You can still enrol at college on our Level 2 programme. This will help you get your GCSE qualifications so you can progress onto A Levels / BTEC / CTEC or T Level courses at JLC.
That's not a problem. During your enrolment appointment we will discuss your choices before confirming your place. If you'd like to change one of your choices, please let us know so that we can check entry requirements and space availability. If everything is OK, we will switch you over!
Don't worry - you're not alone! Our dedicated careers team will be available for you to meet with during enrolment. They can talk to you about different programmes of study and how they would help you to achieve your future career goals. Just let us know at the beginning of your enrolment appointment.
It's not too late to apply! Please email admissions@leggott.ac.uk to get started.
If you already know the courses you would like to study - please include your course choices in your email. If you're unsure, please let us know so we can arrange for you to speak with one of our careers advisors.
