We are proud to recognise and reward excellence through a range of international student scholarships at John Leggott College.
Our awards celebrate academic achievement, artistic talent, sporting success, and English language proficiency. Explore our available scholarships below for international students studying A Levels in the UK.

English Scholarship for
International Students
Students who achieve an IELTS score of 7.0 overall (with no component below 6.5) will automatically receive a £3,000 reduction in tuition fees each year.
No separate application is required - simply provide your IELTS certificate at enrolment.
Specialist Scholarships for International Students
Each year, John Leggott College awards three prestigious 50% international student tuition fee scholarships across three categories, recognising outstanding academic achievement, specialist talent and English language excellence.
Art Scholarships
From John Leggott College to prestigious UK universities
For students applying to arts-related subjects such as 3D Design, Media, Graphic Design, Performing Arts, or Music.
Applicants are assessed through:
A portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skill
A short personal statement outlining their artistic journey and aspirations
An interview with our Arts team
Sport Scholarships
For students with a strong sporting record at regional, national, or equivalent level.
Applicants are assessed through:

A sporting CV highlighting achievements and competitions

A reference from a coach or sports teacher

An interview with our PE/Sports department about their future contribution to college sport
Application & Selection
With only three Specialist Scholarships awarded each year, these opportunities are highly competitive and designed to recognise exceptional students.
Applications open in January and close in March
Applicants submit supporting materials (e.g. portfolios, CVs, transcripts)
A shortlist is selected by a panel of senior staff
Finalists are invited to assessments and interviews in March–April
Successful candidates are notified with their offer in April
