Bus Transport to John Leggott College: Applications for 2026/2027 Are Now Open

Starting or continuing your studies at John Leggott College is an exciting step, and making sure you have a reliable way to get there is one of the most important things to sort out ahead of the new academic year. The good news is that bus pass applications for 2026/2027 are now open, and applying early is strongly encouraged.

Whether you are a new student joining JLC in September 2026 or a current Year 1 student moving into Year 2, now is the time to get your application in.

Why Apply for a Bus Pass Early?

Bus routes to JLC serve a wide catchment area across North Lincolnshire and beyond, making college accessible for students travelling from towns and villages across the region. Spaces on college bus services are in demand, and applying early helps ensure your place on the route that works best for you.

Leaving it too late can cause unnecessary stress before term even begins. Securing your bus pass ahead of the September start means one less thing to worry about when your A Level studies or other post-16 courses get underway.

Who Needs to Apply?

New applicants starting in September 2026

If you have received an offer from John Leggott College and are planning to start in September 2026, you need to apply for your bus pass now. Do not wait until results day or enrolment. Applications are open and the earlier you apply, the smoother your start to college life will be.

Current Year 1 students progressing to Year 2

This is important: your existing bus pass does not automatically carry over into Year 2. All current Year 1 students must submit a new application for 2026/2027. Please do not assume your travel arrangements will continue without reapplying. Take five minutes to complete the form now so your journey to college is confirmed well before September.

Financial Support Is Available

JLC understands that the cost of travel can be a concern for some families. If your household income is below £40,000, you may be eligible for financial support to help cover the cost of your bus pass. Students are encouraged to apply for financial support at the same time as applying for their travel pass.

To find out more or to apply, visit the Financial Support page.
