John Leggott College and Caistor Yarborough Academy are proud to announce an exciting new strategic partnership that will transform post-16 education opportunities for young people in Caistor and the surrounding areas.

John Leggott Wolds, a brand-new post-16 centre, will open its doors in September 2026 at Caistor Yarborough Academy, offering local students outstanding education right in the heart of Caistor.

This partnership is driven by a shared commitment to the students in and around Caistor by providing a range of opportunities with an increased focus on industry experience. John Leggott Wolds will offer local students access to high-quality post-16 education, tailored to support their hopes, dreams and aspirations.
Recognising that today’s students need more than just qualifications, John Leggott Wolds will focus on preparing young people for successful careers through strong industry connections and hands-on work experience. Each pathway features robust links with local employers and industry partners, ensuring students gain valuable work based opportunities alongside their studies. This will give students a competitive edge and ensure they’re truly ready for their next steps - whether that’s university, apprenticeships, or direct employment.

For families in Caistor and the surrounding villages, John Leggott Wolds means their children can access outstanding sixth form education locally, combining Caistor Yarborough Academy’s strong community roots with John Leggott College’s proven track record of post-16 achievement and progression.
Principal of John Leggott College, Leon Riley, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: "We are thrilled to be working with Caistor Yarborough Academy to bring enhanced post-16 education opportunities to local students. John Leggott Wolds represents our commitment to accessibility, academic excellence and student success."

Mark Midgley, Headteacher of Caistor Yarborough Academy, added: "This partnership will provide our students with a clear access pathway to their next steps, whether that be further education or the start of their career. We look forward to seeing the positive impact John Leggott Wolds will have on our young people and the wider community."

John Leggott Wolds is now accepting applications from Year 11 students across the region who are planning to begin their post-16 studies in September 2026. For more information, please contact johnleggottwolds@leggott.ac.uk
