Upskill - GF Smith

Our students recently had the fantastic opportunity to welcome Josh from GF Smith, the renowned specialist paper company based in Hull. Known for producing some of the world’s finest creative papers, GF Smith’s work is trusted by iconic brands such as Charlotte Tilbury and Mulberry.

During the visit, Josh delivered an inspiring talk about the company’s history, values, and client collaborations, offering students valuable insight into how material choice influences design and branding.

Students were then invited to explore an incredible range of samples - from beautifully printed books to innovative foil papers - sparking ideas about how print, production, and branding connect across creative industries.
