JLC Bottesford Partnership
John Leggott College and Bottesford Town FC Launch New Partnership, 2026/27
"Partnerships work best when they are built on shared values rather than shared interests." That's how Phill Dalowsky describes the new partnership between John Leggott College and Bottesford Town Football Club. It was officially launched as Bottesford Town opened their season against Pickering Town at the Barrett Steel Stadium.
What does the JLC and Bottesford Town partnership involve?
The two organisations will work together in five areas:
facilities
student opportunities
recruitment
sponsorship
community engagement
Both sides describe the partnership as resting on the same values: aspiration, opportunity, community and sporting excellence. Its aim is to create lasting opportunities for young people across the region.
What will the partnership mean for JLC students?
More routes into football beyond college fixtures. JLC students already train and compete for the college's football and other sports teams, and the link with Bottesford Town opens up a local club setting alongside that.
Who made the partnership happen?
The launch follows months of work led by Nathan Daniel and Phill Dalowsky, a part of our senior leadership team at JLC. They worked alongside Bottesford Town Chairman Tony Reeve and the club's Facilities Manager and Welfare Officer, Stephen Altoft.
