JLC Celebrates Year 2 Achievement Certificates

Students at John Leggott College have been recognised for their achievements during their first year as they begin the second year of their studies.

The Year 2 achievement certificates celebrated much more than academic results. Students were recognised for qualities including resilience, confidence, determination, commitment and the positive contribution they make to college life.

Deputy Principal Claire Haller presented the certificates during a special celebration at JLC, giving students the opportunity to reflect on what they have achieved and look ahead to their second year.

"Every single student receiving a certificate today is a winner."

Claire said one of the greatest privileges of being a Deputy Principal is seeing first-hand the impact education can have on students' lives.

She added that awards are not simply about being the best. They recognise the dedication, courage and persistence it takes to keep moving forward, particularly when things are difficult.

Her teacher highlighted the hard work, dedication and resilience that helped Violet develop sophisticated academic skills.
